Sports Fishing Charters

Sport Fishing in the crystal clear Caribbean waters off the coast of beautiful Cancun/Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Fishing season runs from mid-December to the end of July.

Cancun/Isla Mujeres sport fishing days start early, between 7:00am and 9:00am, and wrap up at 4:00pm or earlier if you are happy with the success of the day.  In our experience, the best fishing generally occurs first thing in the morning and later in the afternoon.

Our most exciting trips are Cancun Sailfishing, where we target Atlantic Sailfish. These Ferraris of  Sport fish are amazing acrobats and one of the best fights on light tackle. Dolphin (mahi-mahi), Bonito, Kingfish, Spanish Mackerel and Wahoo are also seen frequently, and make for great catches.

Since we are committed to the conservation of the species, we use “circle hooks” and practice catch and release on all billfish.  With edible species, the fishing practice is catch what you can eat, and release the rest.

At least two days fishing in Cancun/Isla Mujeres is recommended for the best experience. (by the second day, guests are truly relaxed and have found their rhythm with the sea); three days are ideal. 

All charters include bait, tackle, sodas, water and box lunch. 

At Ceviche Tours, we guarantee we will never add passengers to your charter, but we will organize shared fishing trips if requested for individual fisherman.

For Your Safety on Fishing Charters

• Only children older than five years of age are permitted on the boat
• Each charter accommodates up to four fisherman
• Maximum of two extra guests in each vessel (for a total of six) are allowed, for an additional $75 USD per person
• No bare feet allowed on the charter boats

Flexible Payment Options

Guests have the option to pay in US Dollars or Mexican Pesos, which will reflect the current U.S. currency exchange rate.  We also accept Visa and MasterCard (online).

There is an additional 6.5% service charge on all credit card transactions.  Pre-payments made by wire transfer to our location in the U.S. can be arranged.  All charters include a 50% deposit to reserve and confirm your date.  Deposits are non-refundable if cancelled within 48 hours of your charter. If you wish to pay your balance with a credit card, you must do so 48 hrs prior to the tour date. Payments the day of the tour can only be made in cash.  Cancellations prior to 48 hours, deposits may be applied toward a future trip less a 15% re-booking fee.

Sport Fishing Tour Options

Half-Day (Six Hours):  In-shore trolling or bottom fishing (Maximum four fisherman + four passengers); includes fresh fruit and sandwiches aboard, as well as soft drinks and fresh fish barbeque on the beach upon your return.  $550 USD (Register online)

Full Day Private island snorkel and in-shore fishing trip:
Private island snorkel and in-shore fishing trip.  Visit three live reefs while touring the coast of Isla Mujeres; includes two hours in-shore fishing.  Fresh fruit, soft drinks and water served on board; finish the day with a fresh fish barbeque on the beach in the late afternoon.

Full Day Off-shore adventure:
Off-shore adventure in search of Sailfish, Cobia, Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and King Fish aboard the Ceviche 2.  Includes fresh fruit and sandwiches onboard, as well as soft drinks and water. Maximum four fishermen.

Private Tours

Climb aboard your own private launch, the Ceviche 2, for the experience of a lifetime.  Your group of 10 guests will swim with the whale sharks, the world’s largest fish, and enjoy the pristine beauty of the Caribbean Ocean.  Private Tours are perfect for Professional Photographers and Videographers to insure you have the time to get the ideal shot.  Private tours include fresh fruit, soft drinks, and water; lunch will be served on the beach of Isla Mujeres upon your return, featuring a fresh fish barbeque.  $1,100 USD.
